I received this ARC for an honest review. Milja is the daughter of a priest that has been charged with keeping the family secret. Deep in the mountains of Europe beneath a church, deep within a tomb lies an angel. Milja was introduced to this mysterious angel when she was just a young girl. But she cannot fight the attraction she feels for this tortured being. Milja is conflicted between her family obligation and what she feels is right.
This isn’t your flowers and rainbows romance. Azazel is an angel who has been bound since before Moses parted the Red Sea and well he’s pissed. Azazel isn’t the type you immediately cheer for. He’s difficult, unapologetic, and doesn’t really care for the opinions of others. He’s a walk to the beat of a different drum type of guy. But for all his faults he can be loyal and is a BAMF. But you kinda have to cut the guy some slack, he was shackled in a dingy since the creation…..of the freakin world. Just think of all the reality t.v. he’s missed!
I won’t go into too much detail because I don’t want to give anything away. I will say the book gives you an ending, but it is left open for future installments. The writing is well done and the plot moves along nicely. I recommend giving it a try.
